National NOW Conference – July 19-21, Minneapolis. The AZ State NOW board will award a maximum of two scholarships for first time attendees to the national conference. The scholarships will cover 3 night’s hotel expense in a shared double room (approximately $300), and approximately $300 in transportation cost either flying or driving. Conference registration is not covered (but there is a sliding scale), child care and meals are not covered. Applicants must be members at least six months, agree to organize an event within six months of returning from the conference, write a brief report on the conference for publication in chapter and state communications, attend at least 70% of conference plenaries, resolutions and issue workshops. Applicants must write an email expressing why s/he should be chosen to receive the scholarship. Send the email to our Chapter President Michelle Lee ASAP. The Chapter President must submit all applications to the State President by April 17. The decision will be announced April 23. Person must submit receipts up to maximum of $600.
