SUMMARY:ERA Task Force AZ Press Conference
DESCRIPTION:FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE \nPHOENIX — The ERA Task Force AZ will host a press conference on Wednesday morning to celebrate the introduction of Senate and House bills for Arizona to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment and join the 38 states that have made the ERA the 28 th Amendment to the Constitution. \nPlease join us at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday\, January 21 at the Rose Garden at 1700 W Washington St.\, Phoenix. In addition to Senator Lauren Kuby and Representative Quantá Crews\, Sterling Sourk from Unity Rising will speak along with longtime women’s activist Civia Tarmarkin. Virginia was the 38 th state to ratify the ERA on January 27\, 2020\, and with the two-year time period for states to bring their own laws in line\, the 28 th Amendment went into effect on January 27\, 2022. It is past time for Arizona to harken back to its founding days when they supported the equality of women\, for example granting women the right to vote within one year of becoming a state. The ERA mandates no discrimination based on sex and thus protects both men and women. Arizona needs to stand up and say yes\, we believe in equality. \nQuestions:\nDianne Post\, postdlpost@aol.com\, 602 271 9019\nAnissa Rasheta\, arrasheta@gmail.com 480 241 1752

SUMMARY:Oligarch #1 Protest Amazon
DESCRIPTION:NO BUYING FROM AMAZON for 1 week. \nWhy We’re Boycotting Amazon (March 7th-14th): \n\nThey’re playing dirty: Amazon’s size lets them bully small businesses and stifle competition. We’re saying no to monopoly power!\nWorkers deserve better: Amazon workers face tough conditions\, low pay\, and union-busting tactics. We’re standing with the workers for fair treatment.\nPlanet over profit: Amazon’s massive carbon footprint is hurting our planet. We’re demanding sustainable practices and a commitment to the environment.\nPay your fair share: Amazon uses loopholes to dodge taxes\, leaving the rest of us to foot the bill. We’re saying it’s time to pay up!\nEnough is enough: Corporate greed is out of control. We’re joining together to send a message: Put people and the planet over profit.

SUMMARY:Arizona Lobby Day | Reproductive Freedom for All
DESCRIPTION:The 2025 legislative session is in full swing! State lawmakers are already introducing bills to undermine abortion access and gut the abortion ballot measure Prop 139\, the constitutional amendment to protect abortion which voters overwhelmingly passed this past November election. There’s no doubt about it: the fight to protect reproductive freedom is far from over. \nLet’s make sure our state elected officials hear directly from the people who elected them. I want to personally extend the invite to join me at the state capitol for Reproductive Freedom for All’s annual Arizona Lobby Day on Wednesday\, March 5. \nWe’ll give you all the tools you need to speak with lawmakers about why you’re committed to reproductive freedom. If you’ve ever been curious about the legislative process or wanted to advocate for what you believe in—this is your chance! \nArizona Lobby Day\nWednesday\, March 5\n9:00 AM MT \nREGISTER \nAfter you RSVP\, a member of our team will reach out to make sure you feel prepared to join us at the state capitol. Now more than ever\, we need to demonstrate the power of the reproductive freedom movement in Arizona. I hope to see you at our annual Lobby Day on March 5 to do just that.

SUMMARY:National Peoples March | January 18th at Phoenix Capitol
DESCRIPTION:We all march for different reasons\, but we march for the same cause: to defend our rights and our future. \n\n\nIf you believe that decisions about your body should remain yours\, that books belong in libraries\, not on bonfires\, that healthcare is a right\, not a privilege for the wealthy; if you believe in the power of free speech and protest to sustain democracy; or if you want an economy that works for the people who power it—then this march is for you. \n\n\nThe People’s March is about one thing: our power. \n\n\nIt’s a bold demonstration of the resilience of resistance: \n\n\nWe march to unite the people who’ve been the backbone of resistance for generations—and to welcome even more\nWe march to remind civil servants they answer to us\nWe march to inspire\, energize\, and drive change long after the day is done.\n\n\n\nThis is our moment to remind Washington elites — and Americans everywhere — where the power truly lives: with the people. \n\nLet’s make it count!\n\n\nYou will find us at the Capitol at the Arizona State Senate\, 1700 W Washington St\, Phoenix\, AZ 85007
