The opening day of the legislature rally organized by Fortitude AZ focused on the theme of “Can You Hear Me?” to represent the voices of thousands of citizens in Arizona who are not being heard at the legislature. Over 200 people gathered in front of the Governor’s tower and then marched to the Rose Garden for a press conference. The 10 speakers ranged from Accessibility Advocates to Planned Parenthood to ERA Task Force to CHISPA. Other speakers covered criminal justice reform, education funding, violence against women, attacks on the poor and most vulnerable, and racial justice.
